Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I went out. Turns out that I really did not need to go out and I'm pissed I did, but the details are unimportant. While out though I decided to 1) get gas and 2) go to the grocery store. We now have milk and fresh veggies and fruit. I really needed cat food, but completely forgot. Schools have already starting calling in their closings for tomorrow, but not mac's school yet. I really hope they are open, if for no other reason than all this tv and video game time is not good for him.

That is so wonderful Kathy. Gives me a little hope that not everyone, who isn't us, is an douchenozzle.

Living here is the first time I have ever (a) lived in a snow zone and (b) had a garage that I could park in.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Ugh, msbelle. I hate to say, but they will likely call it. I heard more is on the way for Friday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's great, Kathy!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

How wonderful, Kathy! I was very pleased once I got out of the house to see the wind had done most of the job for me. There was no snow on my car, but I did have to dig some out from behind the tires so I could back out. All I did was move to a spot that had already been plowed so that if they come by for another sweep, my old spot can get plowed out, too.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

It's so funny the way the wind patterns affect things. These are from this morning:

My car: [link]

The car one behind me: [link]

Seriously. There is one car length between these two. So glad I parked where I did.

Punishingly Intricate

They said they wouldn't take any money, but I could donate it to charity if I wanted.

That is so awesome!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

They said they wouldn't take any money, but I could donate it to charity if I wanted.

They rock.

And we have another show day tomorrow. Just got the call. Yay!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I just saw this pic of Michigan Ave: [link]

Yeah, it was pretty dead downtown this morning. I saw a guy making snow angels in the road at State and Grand.

The downtown streets have been plowed and some of the sidewalks have been cleared. There is a bit of a dune climb at each curb. My biggest problem today has been coffee. No Starbucks, Dunkies, or Corner Bakery. 7-11 is open, but if I'm gonna drink bad coffee I'll get it for free in the green room.

brillig

There's an ad I've been seeing, where we see a garage door open onto a snowy landscape as a solemn voice says, roughly, "There is a group of hikers stranded, and a hungry coyote has just spotted them. If he doesn't get them, hypothermia will." Camera turns to show an SUV in the garage. "Now get out there and pick the kids up from soccer practice."
