Y'all are a bunch of romantics. Me? I'm just like "he's got better defined muscles than me, nice bicep, but I so totally am faster than him at my distance pace!" I think I'm committed to singlehood....

Thundersnow is kinda fun. The light is so blue.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

That's crazy, brenda!

If he's not, he should be, sarameg. I mean, I think it's pretty completely awesome, but I'm not getting a tattoo.

Roasted cauliflower sounds seriously nom.

We are having minisnowpocalypse here. The SO took about twice the time getting home, because he slid right past the turnoff to our neighborhood. But he's safely home, I've got the fire going, kettle boiling on the woodstove, and am cooking pasta for the spaghetti sauce that's been going all evening. It has our own tomatoes and basil in it. But no onions of ours because we used them all and no garlic of ours because I stored it badly and it got moldy, boo. But it's simmering and the house smells so good and the SO is home safe, so whoo.

How is your weather, Kathy?

Like sumi was saying, the wind is blowing really loudly out there! I am very pleased that my heater is going full blast, because I love being toasty warm while I hear that howl.

Tom Skilling (the weatherman on WGN TV) is now saying how I-80 is closed near Morris, cars are being abandoned on Lake Shore Drive, and we've got both lightning and thunder.

quester, did you have to go into your temp job?

I had one today that was answering phone calls and setting up deliveries, but it was just a few blocks away in Downtown. I have to go the Airport tomorrow for my 3 pm to 10 pm shift. I'm thinking of leaving for the airport around 1 pm.

Sounds like the LSD traffic problem stems from a stalled 146 bus at Belmont. Cars have moved about 20 feet in an hour.

Oh, and my lights were just flickering a bit. NOOOO!!!

Your Report from San Francisco: There is no - I REPEAT - No, Snow in San Francisco. It's uh, 62. Like it always is.

Dinner tonight was last night's veggie chili served over tater tots, smothered in salsa, greek yogurt and cheddar.

But now I kind of want asparagus.

Tonight's dinner resulted from me being really lazy. It was just a few slices of cheddar cheese and finishing off the last of the applesauce jar.

I fell asleep after coming home from work and am still a bit tired after that four hour nap.

Art Crawl!!!

A tweet from the Trib says that overnight we (well, Chicago) could be getting 3-4 inches of snow per hour.
