Huh. Now they are letting us go at 3:30. I'm not sure what to do about that, since I'm sure my shuttle will be on its regular schedule.

I'm glad to hear Grace's surgery went well.
I've gotten those Shop it to me invitations before, one from a former student intern (whom I was pretty sure wouldn't be sending one to me) and one from a person whose name I didn't recognize. I assumed they were spam.
Kate, I swear your landlord must be perpetually stoned.
I am going to try and be a good role-model for mac today and not just sit around, so I am calling chore day, not necessarily onerous, but I may hit some of those. Thus far:
made pumpkin muffins
washed dishes
cleaned up clutter in livingroom
Now:
cleaning off the desk

It's really the most likely explanation, isn't it?
Man, now I want some pumpkin muffins.
Nice juxtaposition.
Kate, did you look into local landlord/tenant law before you withheld that portion of the rent? Generally, it's not allowed unless the repairs are needed make the place habitable.
I hate to admit it, but I'm a little jealous of the Snowpocalypse.
PLEASE! TAKE IT ALL!!!
Heh. If only *we* were perpetually stoned, it would be so much easier to deal with him!
I had pumpkin muffins yesterday. I highly recommend adding butterscotch chips in the batter. So yum.
We're still in the recovery room. Grace has recovered. But we're all bored. I'm ready for her room assignment already.

Sparky, we didn't -- and I hope we don't regret it. M just looked into whether or not he could evict us, and he needs to provide us with written notification of the problem and give us 30 days to fix it first, so of course we'd just pay up if it came to that. Eek. Mostly we were just hoping it would light a fire under his ass, but that clearly has not happened.
Regardless, we are moving out in July, so we won't have to deal with him much longer.
