You like ships. You don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I haven't watched any of DA, but I have it on the Tivo and I was worried because of the Gosford Park connection people keep making. But everyone raves about it.

It's kind of amazing how distinct the characters are, given how many of them there are. Possibly because most people look pretty different from one another, and each character can basically be summed up in a phrase.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Univerally rave reviews!

The post about the new design is FILLED with bitching and complaining comments. So much shit is broken, it's not even funny. And that's not counting what functionality they removed. Thank god the old site is up and running at another URL.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I am home! And it has started snowing but not blizzard levels yet. I didn't go to the grocery store yesterday, but I did go to the gas station and they were nuts. Cars deep waiting to fill up.

I really enjoyed DA. Quite a lot.

not your mom's socks.

ita, sadly I think their "testers" are the ones sending notes and corrections back in the comments right now. Freesourcing at its worst. Agreed that this is horrid.

I'm also loving Downton Abbey. The last ep of the season was beautifully done. Now if only someone would make me a bunch of those clothes, I'd be set.

DJ, I didn't say yesterday, so sorry for your loss.

SRSLY! I loved the costumes. So lovely.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

OK, this winter is really starting to get to me. I so very much am sick of shovelling my car and parking space out. I'd be sick of it if it was only going to be a half foot, and it looks as if it's going to be considerably more, and getting heavier and wetter as it goes along.

I'd almost just prefer for them to let me stay in my space and bury the car with the plow, since they've been doing such an ass job of plowing. They've been using glorified pick-up trucks on all the side streets in Salem, and they won't come closer to the curb than a yard (or three) on my side of the street (probably because of the telephone poles).

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Yay for getting home, ChiKat! Yep, it's snowing here now, too, but not really bad yet. People are already starting to head out, but I'm waiting until 1:00 to get something to eat at the cafeteria, and then will be hitting road between 1:30 and 2:00. I'll have to go online from home to send out some governors' speeches tonight, so I'll be making up time then.
