Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Score! ESPN2 on mute. Weird seeing Federer ads. Well, he still rocks.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Still disappointed Federer isn't in this match. Recent moment: Murray to serve, member of the audience shouts out "FREEDOM!!" I wonder how often that happens to him in an average match. (Murray then aces the serve. Well done, thou good and faithful Murray. )

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Not having insurance in MA means that you get a fine, not that you don't get treated at all. It's not even that substantial a fine. And there's a sliding scale that means that substantially low-income people end up paying nothing.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

tommy, earplugs man, life savers!

Not in this case, as the noise still keeps me awake.

And now they're playing loud music early on Sunday morning. Oh well.

eta: Perhaps I need better earplugs.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

It's quiet here...

I hope you had a ggod time, BT. I got kinda zonked out there towards the middle, and then woke up for the trophy ceremony.

Well, whether or not I have company today, I've made a dent in the mess that was my bedroom. And I've done work work.

I should dust. But not yet.

Because books.

It's too early to dust.

Happy birthday, Anne! I hope it's a good one.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

WTF, dumb okcupid users. Got a message today saying how much shared interests we have including how he loves dogs. Um, i never professed to be a dog lover. In fact, i'm pathologically afraid of dogs. Dating a dog person is an Issue. One that can be dealt with as long as the dog is never allowed in the bedroom, but still an Issue. Methinks that was a form response not edited to match my profile. Sure lost my interest.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I went to the pool at 8:00 this morning, and finally swam a full mile!!! Of course, it took me 1 hour and 23 minutes, but still--a mile! Next time I swim (probably Tuesday night), I'll start whittling that time down, but I'll keep doing the 33 laps. I'm hoping that maybe I can get that down to an hour by June.

The rest of the day will be spent cleaning, doing laundry, and clearing out my fridge. I was lazy yesterday and only worked on finishing off the cross-stitch/beading ornament project I started last Monday. i've still got eight more various ornaments to work on to finish off the pile I've got sitting on my coffee table, so I'll start working on one of those tonight.

kathy- that's awesome! it still takes me 45min to an hr to swim a mile and i was a super competitive swimmer for decades. just making that distance is impressive! Don't think i mentioned it before, but whenever i got leg cramps coaches would yell at me to keep hydrated better and up my potassium levels. a bananna earlier in the day is usually good for that.
