Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Holy crap, Tim Roth is a sexy beast

From way back--I was just talking about this last night with the DH. he said "Why does this character keep getting all these beautiful women?" and I looked at him and said, "Because he's incredibly hot." He was in shock. "But he's short, and ordinary looking!" "And sexy as hell."

I CANNOT BELIEVE he still has that job.

I'm not. Although it may be a "family" sitcom, his character is an asshole. His terrible behavior is right up Charlie's alley, so people don't mind it. Now, if it were Jon Cryer beating up hookers and cursing people out, it would be a different story.

Zombie Sears is brilliant.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, watched the City of DeKalb PD press conference on the murdered student. What they can tell us is just enough to make everyone more unhappy but not enough to give us any sort of assurance.

They found remains in the park pretty early in the search. They could not id them as human. They found some of the students personal effects near the remains. Over the weekend forensics confirmed that the remains were human but they could not confirm that they were the missing student.

I hope that they do confirm that - to give us all some closure. And I hope that they find the murderer too.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oops, skimmed the article. They're still not sure if the remains are hers.

Yeah, my boss' kids go to school less than a mile from that park (which, by the way, is not on campus but is v. close to the sort of cheap apts. that many students live in) so the school sent a letter home with her kids.

Also, if the killer is somebody living in the park, chances are whoever it is is now elsewhere. (Because the park has been aswarm with law enforcement for over a week.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Semantics question: Batman--vigilante or no?

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Batman is a vigilante in that he works outside the justice system (if you stick with the Dark Knight Batman rather than Silver Age Batman).

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Semantics question: Batman--vigilante or no?

Depends on the era/canon.

I know some times during the fifties and sixties he was officially deputized. That, of course, negates much of Batman's dark essence and he's been a vigilante ever since Miller's reboot with Year One.

Adam West Batman - no, because he was deputized by Commissioner Gordon. Modern Batman, yes.
