Mal: So we run. Nandi: I understand, Captain Reynolds. You have your people to think of, same as me. And this ain't your fight. Mal: Don't believe you do understand, Nandi. I said 'we run'. We.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Man, once again, the hivemind has proven itself an excellent resource. Thank you all for the tips and the links and everything! This is fantastic.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, and remember, you'll be fine. It's not the end of the world one way or another. It's a car.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I would not write a check until a contract was drawn up.

Absolutely, but worth knowing that car dealers will try this.

And you will be fine. And if you don't close a deal at one place there is always another.

Yeah, and remember, you'll be fine. It's not the end of the world one way or another. It's a car.

And it's probably better to get a mediocre deal on a car you really like than a great deal on a car you don't. 'Course a great deal on a car you really like is the happiest.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

E-mail all the local dealers in the area for Internet quotes so you have an idea of how low they're willing to start (and so you have quotes to show the dealer you actually want to buy your car from).

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think the Princess Bride quote I use the most is "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The question is: accent or no accent?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Depends on if I say it out loud (no accent) or am typing it or thinking it (accent).

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

IcompletelyON, I went clothes shopping yesterday for the first time since the surgery. Turns out the store is cleaning out its winter clothes in preparation for the spring delivery, so they don't have a lot of stuff available, especially not in the larger sizes which have been picked over. I tried on five pairs of pants and only bought one, a pair of khakis that unfortunately had a bit of spandex in them, so even though they fit fine in the butt and waist, they are glued to my calves and thighs. I think I'll wait a week or two before wearing them to work.

Good thing is that they're a size 30/32. I'm currently wearing a very baggy pair of size 34/36 jeans.
