I wanna die in bed surrounded by fat grandchildren, but guess that's off the menu.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, you need your rest, Jesse. Don't push it.

I found a tiny screwdriver, but not my tiny screwdriver, which looks like a pen and has a pocket clip...what? Anyway, the tiny screwdriver was in the toolbox, which is a crazy place to keep screwdrivers if you ask me.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Why does Australia always have the best headlines?

They had sharks swimming in the streets. If they didn't have the best headlines, I'd be disappointed. They've already got the best stories.

FCM: Benadryl, Sudafed, Ibuprofen

F: Ibuprofen (sometimes it works)
C: Sudafed. I do not get why people want to feel like this recreationally. I have to think long and hard about whether I want to breathe or I want to brane and not twitch.
M: Benedryl. We are OTP.

I've mostly been trying to see how many times I can listen to the new Panic! single without getting tired of it. We're up to six!

I tried that with Na Na Na.

I got a speeding ticket.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, also: M ibuprofen (my faaavorite), F Sudafed (it's a bad idea, but I do it sometimes anyway), C Benedryl (does nothing for me)

Because books.

I got a speeding ticket.

I'm not driving, though!

I will credit the entire Danger Days album for helping me figure out the new book's plot at Sara's swim lesson the other night. Thanks, Gee!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I tried that with Na Na Na.

I got a speeding ticket.

My concert wife S (whom Kate P knows in meat space), whom I have NEVER seen speed (on many a road trip) put on that album and floored it a few weeks ago.

I almost didn't want to tell her how fast she was going because it was hysterical (and the highway was empty) but we were approaching the turnpike gates and, well, you just never know...

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

So apparently they're lining up an RFP for contracting firms to fill my slot, and there will be some jujitsu with my resume being sent along in close proximity. "Nudge nudge, know what I mean?" and so forth.

No word yet on start date. My coworker is trying to convince me to try to get a raise out of it, just to cover the pain & suffering of all this. Which is tempting except for the fear that I'll price myself out of the work.

Next Thursday is my last day in this position: at least I can kind of sort of tell people something now...

But I still want my bottle of Oban. And a pony.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yay, for last chemo!

I'm sorry for all the sickos out there. Jesse, when I had The Real Influenza last winter it just absolutely kicked my ass for two weeks. Flat on my back, achey, feverish, horrible. It was my worst sickness in about ten years and a painful reminder that the real flu is not to be trifled with.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I found it! It was in my briefcase. Along with two pencils and a silver sharpie, so it's a win all around.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I had what may or may not have been Real Flu a few years ago, and same thing with the two weeks. Yikes! I'm pretty sure this is just a bad cold, but bleh.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Yay Perkins!

Ugh. My arms hurt from snow removal.
