Wesley: I stabbed you. I should apologize for that. But I'm honestly not sure how. I think it'll just be awkward. Gunn: Good call. Wesley: Okay.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, God, brenda, that's foul. What the ever-loving fuck? How did she respond? Or (please, please) did she just get up and punch someone in the throat?

Long, deep sleep to Maria. The universe owes her, like, a solid two years of hassle-free travel.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I mean, she'll get an awesome story out of it, but that's a poor payoff for 13 hours of horrible.

Heh. I was just saying to someone, about a pretty cluster-fuck-y situation, "At least it was as funny as it happened as the story is? Because the story is HILARIOUS."

hip deep in pie

Maria needs some kind of spa weekend complete with personal cabana boy to make up for that.

I think I woke up every hour last night because I had to blow my nose. I am so tired of this cold.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

How did she respond?

How do women basically always have to respond in this circumstance? She "blushed", which they commented on, and was gracious and waved it off. I was ready to cockpunch someone though.

Especially after Shani Hilton's post yesterday on TNC's blog: [link]

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

That would have been a perfect time for her to say, "Wow, that was really rude. You must be so embarrassed," to the men. Of course, to make that work, you pretty much have to be ready for shitty things to be said, so you are practiced and ready to peal that off in a completely sympathetic, non-sarcastic, way. And of course, teh menz tend not to have the kind of shame that that works on, because after all, it is their Divine Right to comment on public properties such as a woman's face and body.

And it is that kind of shit that makes me realize that the Muslim women who wear the complete covering are kind of on to something when they say it frees them from being objectified.

brillig

I'd like to have the presence of mind to say, "Wow, did you guys just get fired, and so you're filling broadcast time with stupid stuff?"

brenda, I believe we need a link to the station so we can tell them what we think.

My commute by metro this morning wasn't a problem, but I think there are a lot of people without power from the lack of email.

It just seems so unprofessional and uncomfortable.
