My dad used to make us wash the van every week in the summer. I was too young to remember what he did about that during the summer. I tend to let the rain take care of casual dirt.
I will say that no one should deprive themselves of the good time that is going through the car wash! So fun!!
Ooooh, there is one about 10 miles from here, that has the fun neon(ish) lights, so it is really cool to go through it in the dark. I know this only because Daniel had a coupon to use it, and we went through in one of his cars last year.
Onerous task for today: reformatting citations. Onerous task for tomorrow: reformatting citations: onerous task for some days to come - yeah you guessed it.
Kaady car washes. Local, $5, everywhere and eco-friendly.
She'll be ok, but I do wish we'd had the foresight to tell her to burrow in in DC or here.
me too. My house is 10 minutes from her office, so it would have been easy for her to crash until to snow let up or the roads cleared.
Looking at the locations, not surprised i've not heard of them, not a single location on the east side. i think the shell station next to work has a touchless drivethrough.
I like to think of my dirty car as being part of my way of helping the environment.
My university is opening at noon, which I think is dumb. Just give us the day off - major streets are plowed and good, but side streets are locked up with this snow that is ice on the bottom and top. I dread the stuff the street plow has pushed over the end of our driveway. Also, it really screws up our finely tuned commute that involves a kid and a dog, each with their own daycare. Pfft. I may just take the afternoon off.
I wash my car 4-5 times a year. I may end up washing it more this winter, because I like to wash it after it gets covered with salty slush, and we've had more of that this year than usual here in NC.
Work not opening until 10. I hear people out shoveling already at 7. Yeah, that isn't me. Fuck it, I'm taking advantage of the chance to sleep in a bit.
