So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My eyebrows are disturbing and in need of a serious waxing and trimming, but not until after I've done my secondary back up costume (no time for the primary and primary back up this year) as Alan Moore.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I SWEAR by BeneFit's Brow Zings. [link]

I've been using it for almost five years. Before that, I used the Smashbox Brow Tech Duo, and this blows the Brow Tech out of the water. The Brow Zings come in three shades. I use the darkest. If it were up to me, I'd put one in everyone's holiday stocking. It lasts all day without a touch up.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I've looked at the Brow Zings, but I have unnaturally blue-black hair, so I don't see how their darkest shade could be dark enough for me.

It's dark, Jilli. I use the wax first and then the powder, and it darkens up nicely. Buy it at Sephora, try it, and if it doesn't work, then you can take it back. You're out nothing.

It takes me less than a minute to do my brows in the morning. Everything else seems too complicated.

edit: It worked for me when I had black hair three years ago. Mine was probably less blue-black, but it was still on the cool side.

Interrupting the eyebrows for tomato jam.

Anybody ever made tomato jam?

Yup! Well, tomato and chilli jam. Sort of a chutney paste rather than a proper jam though although it did set. I pretty much just blitzed garlic, ginger, onion, chilli and loads of tomatoes (without cores) in a food processor. Put it in a pot and sautee for a bit, then add vinegar (I used balsamic), fry off for a minute, then add jam sugar. Cook and jar like you would a normal jam.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hmm. Brow Zings is more expensive than Brow Tech, and I'd be discarding 1/2, not 1/4. Still worth it?

Requesting a small amount of job-ma, for an interview at 10 AM, for a 3-months clerical job doing filing and logging. It would, as they say, keep me off the streets....

Art Crawl!!!

The weather is freaky here this morning. My radio station went out twice while I was listening to it and the second time - it didn't come back.

I decided that standing out in a field waiting for a bus while we're under a wind advisory was not something I wanted to do so I switched my doctor's appt for another day.

Good luck, Theo.

I'm wearing that jacket from Pitaya that Vortex linked to the other day. It's really comfy and feels cool. I like it. Yesterday I wore a cardigan from there that I no longer see on the site and it rocked too. Thanks for the link, Vortex. Major win. I definitely need more layering clothes.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Im waiting for a bus while hoping I don't blow away.
