"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Well, I should be able to manage socks, too.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Kathy, you rock.

Wut. I'm scared to ask.

I'll tell you later. You know my job, so you can probably figure it out, or close enough. WHO DRIVES ME CRAZY AND WOULD SEND PEOPLE TO CAMPUS OF DUBIOUS CHARACTER WHO MIGHT, IDK, STEAL THINGS AND GET CAUGHT? Yeah.

I have lots of socks to put away, too. Weird. Damn socks.

I am happy it is onerous task day because I was heading toward a day of doing nothing and then shame spiraling. I need to get stuff out of my house. Many potential things to mail:

insurance claims
non-family holiday cards (what? better late, right?)
gifties

so, I'll be getting on that as soon as I shower.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

My socks never seem to dry thoroughly when I do laundry, so I agree--damn socks!!

Lunch today is from the cafeteria, and is quite yummy: tilapia stuffed with crabmeat and cheese. I also got a small scoop of potatoes on the side, but I'll probably just have a forkful of that and then toss the rest after I finish the fish.

Punishingly Intricate

non-family holiday cards (what? better late, right?)

Yes, I just got one from friends in AZ and it was a joy to receive.

Because books.

Totally better late, msbelle.

What is up, socks?

I do this when it's a big pile of various white socks of the boys. Too hard to pair them up, so they sort of languish in a basket somewhere. Which is why I like my socks of many colors and prints, because finding their mates is easy.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Onerous Task: Take all the material downtown to apply for Matilda's kindergarten. Because SFUSD rejiggered the school assignment system (making it easier and better for the most part) they're very concerned about address fraud.

So I need oodles of non-traditional address documentation. It's not enough to produce my driver's license. I need billing from a utility, and car registration and/or a deed or Section 8 agreement.

Also, I need to bring in her Actual Official Birth Cert because they've had people scanning and fudging dates and such like.

So it's kind of like a trip to the DMV basically.

And after I collect Emmett this afternoon I have to take him to the dentist which is mostly onerous for him.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.
