It's all about choices, Faith. The ones we make, and the ones we don't. Oh, and the consequences. Those are always fun.

Librarian Warlord

Perkins, it seems like it will be done by midnight here, but if you want to keep track, the Capital Weather Gang is great: [link]

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Thanks! I will definitely look at that later.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ouch. We have no weather to speak of here, but I did just get a call from Sox's area from some guys on my team trying to fight their way through to a client meeting. Ugh.

Our wings are not tired.

I fly through DC tomorrow on my way home from Miami. I am so hoping for no snow delays. Hope your sister arrives safely and smoothly, Perkins.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

We just got a lot of rain. Now it's damp and dreary, with a thunderstorm heading my way. But I'm working from home, so I don't much mind it.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

I think "You can't con an honest man," means that honest people aren't as into being on the inside track, or believing they will get something for nothing(ie the TV that "fell off the truck", that is really a box of rocks.) You can con someone more easily if they think of themselves as working all the angles and stuff.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You can con someone more easily if they think of themselves as working all the angles and stuff.

Or if they're stupid.

I have no idea why this bothers me so much.
