"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hee. Amused at the fact that I am more corruptible than JZ. I already knew what DP was. I'm pretty sure it's all y'alls fault somehow.

In other corruption news and speaking of princesses, I'm getting ready to place a Zoya order since they have that holiday mini color lock system still. And one of the weaknesses in my collection is pink, because I don't think I like pink. But the truth is, I like pink fine, I just can't get past my pink bias. And what I need is a nice clean, nearly neutral, more opaque than transparent, light pink. Does Zoya have one of those you'd recommend?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Okay, now I'm no longer on your side. Also, rooting for Murray.

I would not be displeased with a Murray-festooned final. Don't think it's going to happen, but would not complain. (It's the other half of the draw about which I hold Opinions, namely that Federer's the only one I'm particularly keen on. So Nadal-Federer or Federer-Murray, either one works for me.)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

msbelle, I hope that your mom's biopsy turns up nothing of interest. And I'm sorry about the termites. Did you piss off the Grand Emperor Bug (well, probably Grand Empress bug, really) at some point? They do seem to have it in for you.

I want to teach Stiff and then get a field trip to the morgue. Is that screwed up?

My AP bio class had a field trip to a morgue, and I got to see an autopsy. The part where they peeled the skin back off the face really stayed with me, but the whole thing was pretty interesting.

I wanted to be a princess who explored magical forests and fought dragons. So I'd wear my girliest dresses into a nearby swamp area and poke at things with sticks. My mother was not thrilled with this phase, especially the laundry aspect.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It was actually stumbling on this incredible LJ post that crystallized just how fucking nuts the last place was and how badly I needed to be somewhere else.

Wow, that post is amazing. I could barely read it.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

So Nadal-Federer or Federer-Murray, either one works for me.

Ooo, I'd like to watch that too. OK. Bit envious.

Calli's post reminds me: Kat, I tried to donate to your cause but I'm hitting some weird loop on the Donors Choose site where they keep not quite confirming my donation. I'm gonna check it later. Either it didn't work, in case I'll donate later, or else I donated about 5 times in a row. Ooops.

In my case, it was explored magical forests, kept dragons for pets, and was a VAMPIRE WITCH PRINCESS, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Yes, I did recruit the neighbor kids as minions. And they went along with it.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Maybe Jessika.

They offer color spoons and the $.50 that each spoon costs also counts as a credit for buying polish or more spoons. Thus you can swatch it against your actual skin.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I don't think I ever really had a princess phase. I guess the closest I got was My Little Ponies and Rainbow Brite.

I am so sick of the cold. At least if there were a lot of snow, it would be pretty and I could make a snowman. Instead, there's the same three inches or so of snow that's getting filthy and won't melt. Also, my car is just crusted in salt.

Ha ha ha. We have a shitload of snow getting filthy and not melting. And then when it snows again (on Wednesday??) there's nowhere to put it. You could have enjoyed making a snowman last week, though, yes.

I am again grateful that I don't have to drive or shovel.
