The Mr. Rogers stories are totally making my day. I'm just now realizing how much he reminds me of my grandfather. There are some physical similarities, but mostly it's because my grandfather was also an extremely gracious, kind, loving, and open-minded person. So thanks, y'all, for reminding me of not one but two lovely people.
In other news, I have come down with a cold, which arrived pretty much as soon as I felt like I'd recovered from my surgery. Oh, season of ick, I hope you end real soon.
Here's video of Mr. Rogers testifying before congress to defend PBS! [link]
(I totally would've stopped but Kate P. made me)

OMG, idiot! If you can't see what's on the damned computer screen or an entire sentence of instructions, you are too stupid to have a computer! There are more words in the sentence, they will tell you what to do!
Edit: Yeah, and he just asked if the program is easy to use. It isn't. He's screwed.
Yikes, msbelle. That's a big unfun.
I loved Mr. Rogers as a kid, and Jake loved him, too. I don't remember what Ben thought, but Sara was a harder sell -- she was all about Elmo.
