How are the Republicans going to balance the budget?
By killing the NEA and other arts funding.
I am in such a bad mood, so I don't want to be all fair and balanced. I just want to say Fuck You to them. Apparently nothing is as important as imposing our views on other countries and on people in this country-- and this is the party who wants LESS government and FEWER Rules. WTF?
In better news, I finally figured out how to submit a non-text post on tumblr. I had been reading the directions really stupidly.
That will reduce the federal budget by 0.008% of the federal budget. If they can eliminate 7,784 programs of that size they would completely wipe out the deficit.
This was an interesting collision of posts to read together:
erin_obscure: Heck, i can do spinning split leaps in the things.
Cashmere: Not to mention Aaron Sorkin.

Political news just makes me more angry, stressed out and depressed these days. So I've been following politics less these days, but it's still not enough. Not sure if I need therapy, some outlet for all these feelings or if I just need to resign myself to things getting worse.
Ginger, that made me snorkle also.
If killing arts funding works, I can balance my budget for giving up coffee for a day.
I got my numbers wrong, eliminating the NEA and NEH will save about 0.005% of the budget.
This is cool:
Shunning the Health Code: Zombie McDonalds Employee Costume [Cosplay]
Ok, so when you’re done checking out the bloody cleavage, take a moment to appreciate the pièce de résistance of this zombie costume: the finger fries.
It's also either evil-mastermind brilliant (we kill funding, liberals rush to save the arts financially and have nothing left over to support our political enemies with) or brought to you by the same people who think that they shouldn't need to pay school tax because they don't have kids in school. Or, you know, both.
Comcast, do not crap out on me 2x in one day. I am home with the sick child and it is not on.

Tommy, I don't even watch TDS or Colbert anymore. I just can't take the daily anger. I occasionally read a full article in the NYT or Economist and I just stay away otherwise. Part of the reason I want to kill my cable is so that when people visit (people being my boyfriend), they can't channel surf between all of the talking heads arguing endlessly on the "news" channels. I seriously can't take it.
