Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's so not sale prices!

Because books.

I have this thing for not!black shoes now. I have plenty of black already.

Fluevogs last forever and fit my feet perfectly, even the pointy ones. Really incredible craftmanship. Which is why I swallow the price. But, yeah, I can't justify even $150 on shoes right now.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Possibly I am a heretic, but I often find the Fluevog heel shapes too whimsical for my taste. If I'm getting super-expensive shoes (which, alas, I'm not any time soon!) I'd go with Remix any day. Something like the Deco, or the Gramercy.

Oddly, given my fairly conservative (lazy) dressing, I love the whimsical heels.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I've never spent more than $60 on a pair of shoes. Of course, I've been alternating between a rather ratty pair of sneakers and a black pair of NurseMates for the past two years, so shoes are not on my must-have list.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oooh, I like the first ones in the not-black! They're adorable.

I agree! What is with me and the orange shoes lately? I have 2-3 pairs already that I rarely wear because I hardly ever wear orange. But so cute!

I like these Remix shoes, but I'd never spend that much not on boots.

In NY we went shopping with some of the rich relatives. Sax was a hoot. Even on sale, I only found one pair of shoes in my price range. Cousin is looking at Jimmy Choos and shit like that she swears is comfy and worth the cost.

Not my life!

Because books.

I know, -t! But I feel like with a spring dress, it would almost work as a neutral. In my head, anyway.

Something like the Deco, or the Gramercy.

Oh, I need the Gramercy. They'd go with everything!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My Doc Martens are magical. Magical I tell you. Comfy, water-tight, magic.

As soon as my feet are surgeried and reach a permanant size I'll be buying them whenever possible.
