I think title and registration are two different things, but I've never owned a car.

they are. registration shows who the dmv thinks owns the vehicle and should be in the car or in your wallet at all time (i.e. any time you pull over, gotta be able to show that to the ofcr ) but the title is a fancy piece of paper that proves you own the vehicle outright (no loans or leins) and should NEVER be in the car. It should be in a safe place--like a safety deposit box, or fire proof file box. If you have a loan on the car, the bank still has the title, you only get the title once you've paid off the loan or if you do a cash sale.

And if you've never seen a car title: on the back there's a space where a seller signs it over to a buyer. I.e. if someone steals your car, and the title is IN the car, they can just forge your signature, sign it over to themselves, and BLAM they now own the car. Officers have very easy access to registration information by liscense plate or VIN...so the reg can't really be effectively forged. But officers do not have access to copies of titles or records of histories of titles, that can take weeks or months to get a copy. So people whose cars are stolen with the titles in the car and not yet registered to them? SOL on making a stolen vehicle report because there is zero proof that they own the vehicle.

I finally got to fly today! It's been nearly two months, and I was wondering if I'd still remember how. But it went well, and my instructor mentioned the magic phrase "check ride." There'll be a few more sessions smoothing out some stuff, but my pre-solo check ride is in sight.

Now, whether it happens before Easter depends entirely upon upcoming weather systems. [looks suspiciously toward the west, from whence comes most of this area's storms]

I think the whole "no massage when sick" thing has to do with not stressing the body while its already stressed.

It would be akin to not resting. Exerting yourself when sick isn't going to kill you, but it'll slow your recovery.

So "working it in" is a little colorful, but if you stay in bed for two days and drink a bunch of fluids you'll get better faster then if you tough it out and take dayquil and go to work all week and keep going to the gym.

Massages feel great, like a good workout, but they aren't nothin'. So, you know, not complete hokum.

Unfortunately, if I didn't keep the title to the car in the glove compartment, I'd have no hope in hell of ever finding it when I actually needed it.

Has four notarized copies of her own marriage certificate, no birth certificate, and hasn't seen her Social Security card since a week after she got it

I have at least four Social Security cards. The paper that comes with them says not to keep them in your wallet, because they might be stolen, so I always keep the card in a drawer or something, but every time I move to a new apartment, it gets lost and I need to get a new one.

I have a "paperless title" to at least one of my cars, which I think is meant to solve that where do you keep the title problem.
