Has anyone seen this? AWESOME photographs discovered from a French nanny in Chicago, a hundred thousand of them! They're really quite good.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Now if someone could only tell how we go about it!

Can we make money doing this? Surely librarian/archivists are the most highly compensated of all in an information based economy.

If not they should be!

Wow, she was really a talent. And lucky it fell to a guy who recognized that and bid on it.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm so sorry, Tep. You did right by her. Hugs to both of you, and Kato too.

I feel like going and draping a blanket or sweatshirt on the dog in her honor.

Awww. Even a dog bed will do.

We expected Kato to be freaked out, but he's okay. He's a smart dog (as I believe I've mentioned a million times), and I think he knew she was old and unwell -- he obviously knew she could no longer run around the yard with him for quite some time now. I think, inasmuch as dogs know stuff like that, that he knew her time had come.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My condolences, Steph.

And Jilli, I think it's a wonderful tribute to your mother.

Compassionately intolerant

Steph, I'm celebrating that Chloe was a creature so well loved and cared for. While I lament the pain this transition brings to you and Tim...and a little bit to Kato as well...I'm just so grateful that you were so good to her.

Big hugs all around.

I, too, love the idea of JilliMom's final adventure. All the suggestions for pulling it off are making me smile.

My beloved surrogate mom has asked me to go to Niagara Falls for her when the time comes. I've got a whole itinerary of activities I must complete. Having this charge will make all the difference in my grieving process.

May the journey to the Mansion be joyful!
