I happen to be very biteable, pal. I'm moist and delicious.

A whole retinue of Jilli Mom's friends and family, discreetly "hanging out" by the planters and giggling madly.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Teppy, I'm so sorry. I know it's hard, even when it's time and it's the right thing to do. She knew her humans loved her.

Jilli, I think that's a wonderful idea. StE's ashes have been scattered, and kept, in many of his favorite places and a couple he would have loved if he'd ever got to see them, which is what he wanted, and what made sense to all of us.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

If not? Big purse, clumsy "slip" and Bob's your uncle!

Oh, Dad's plan was having his pockets full of the ashes. I think the purse idea is better. Tho' Pete cracked up at Dad's plan and said "So, very Great Escape?"

Just saying. (Morbid humor is needed at these times, I've found. Not at all intending to be glib about the situation, as you know.)

My family runs on morbid and inappropriate humor. You know this.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh, I'm so sorry, Teppy.

And, Jilli, that's a lovely idea, and I'm glad she randomly told you so that you now non-randomly know what to do. I think it's nice that you have something concrete to look forward to. I imagine it helps you feel a little less lost.

That's lovely. And knowing how to honor her at this time is especially lovely.

Brenda said it better.

My family runs on morbid and inappropriate humor. You know this.

So when someone at the funeral asks what you're going to do now, you're going to look at them and exclaim, "I'm going to DISNEYLAND!!!"?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Jilli, that sounds like a wonderful way to honor your mother.

{{{Teppy}}} I'm so sorry to hear about Chloe.

Apparently Keith Olbermann just announced that tonight is the last episode of Countdown.

I just posted about this in Bitches after seeing it on my facebook feed. I'm sorry I missed the episode.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I found Liv's 5th birthday gift.

I have a photo shoot at my house tomorrow. All the derby team is coming in with a photographer to get head shots and poses. I need to retouch my purple and find my derby socks that say "Bad Ass" on them.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I just have this mental picture of a bunch of Jilli's friends all dressed in long skirts and petticoats. And underneath they've got these bags of cremains that they'll float over the grass next to the Haunted Mansion pulling little strings in their pockets that release a packet of ash onto the ground. It will look like some fancy promenade, but it's really more a New Orleans style salute. Maybe playing some of the songs from Willy Wonka or something.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Sad news, Tep, but please don't feel guilty. Even just from your previous post about Chloe I thought it was probably time.

Hec, have you ever considered becoming a librarian/archivist? There are enough quirky collections of things - as you can demonstrated tonight - that I am sure there is one out there with your name on it. You have the right magpie mind for it, for sure.

I have not considered that route. I might could turn my magpie mind to couple with my writing to make something interesting, though. Hmmmm. Ponder ponder ponder.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

{{Steph}} I am so sorry. I know you loved Chloe.

Teppy, I'm so sorry about Chloe.
