"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I am named after my mother, with her first name and maiden name, but was called Ginger from the beginning to avoid confusion. She was named after her grandmother. There are many names in my family I am happy to have avoided. My grandfather was William Regulus, called Rex, named for his grandfather Regulus Tucker, whose siblings were Horace, Aurelius, Albert, Serena and Livona. My grandmother's sisters were Ora Dora and Hattie Mae.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My grandfather was William Regulus, called Rex, named for his grandfather Regulus Tucker, whose siblings were Horace, Aurelius, Albert, Serena and Livona.

...and they all went to Hogwarts.

Your mom was so well-loved, Jilli. Much strength to you and your dad.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am so sorry Jilli.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Oh, Jilli, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'm so very sorry, Jilli. I'm glad your mom had your dad there with her at the end, holding her hand and loving her. If there is any least-bad way to pass from this world (though oh how I wish she hadn't had to leave at all), holding a beloved's hand and hearing loving words is it. All my hugs and comforting thoughts to you and your dad and Pete; all the wishes in the world won't come close to healing that hole in your lives, but all the wishes in the world are there nonetheless.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh, I almost forgot. In high school English, we were assigned to write a paper on why the detention system was wrong. I had no real opinion on that, but I thought it'd be easier to argue the opposite side, so my teacher let me. He liked my paper and asked if they could publish it in the school paper. I said yes. When asked if they could use my name, I told them to use my initials, TJK.

No one in school figured out I wrote it. It was fun sitting in several classes while students tried to figure out who TJK was....

Now I totally wish I had come up with a better pen name. Like "Mr. Higglesbottom, ESQ" or something.
