A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Just popping in to offer sympathy, strength, hairpats and peace to Jilli, Pete and Jilli's family. I'm so sorry, dear heart.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Dita gives me a fetish for just about everything she does. She looks so plain Jane...almost when she's introduced, but we know how much she can rock. I loved reading a book by her, where she describes her transformation. I'll never ever do that--I'm lazy, and the idea of taking it all off appalls me, but her glamour, and, like Jilli's glamour, has me totally in awe.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Oh my god, me too. That amount of effort blows me away. OTOH, looking that way *is* her job, and when I consider it in that light, it doesn't seem unduly taxing. (Tonight, I actually image-googled "Dita Von Teese sweatpants," just to see if there were any pictures of her at 7-11 or something, in go-to-hell clothes, but there were not.)

(Image-googling led me to start looking at corset Web sites, and damn it, I do NOT need another corset! What I need is more opportunities to wear the ones I have. And despite what my boyfriend thinks, "around the house" is NOT a good corset-wearing opportunity, what with 2 dogs and 2 cats who shed and like to jump on me.)

Her appearance in the opening shot was probably as demure as I've ever seen her. And it's a damned shame that the burlesque show was so clumsily shot.

It was so fun to wear my corset to the wedding, even if everyone had an opinion on my boobies. I need more of that.

Meanwhile I am committing Supernatural/Say Anything mashups. I need a vision, man.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

zuisa, even if it is less than fun, it sounds pretty cool to me . my sister is in the the military. her job changes every few years. Her attitude - if the boss sucks, it will change. If the boss is great - enjoy it, because it will change.

just change boss to job . I suspect things will be pretty to very good. You are a traveler. However, if you don't like it , well 6 months isn't that long. and you know things can change after that.

However, I think it is going to be amazing

Compassionately intolerant

This is totally me. I have such admiration for that skill and dedication.

On a minor note, I wish Dita's voice matched her look in my mind. She is so, incredibly beautiful and 'sparkly' (and not in a vampire kind of way), but her voice sounds flat to me. I wish it had a more 40's babe tone to it.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Dita is working on a beauty/fashion book that I'm really looking forward to. I've seen her perform, and she is a mesmerizing entertainer.

Man, I haven't slept through the night in two weeks. I'm WAY over this.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Just FYI, there's a piece on Dita in the same InStyle with the Bomer.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ah, now THIS is the crap I was expecting: currently snowing, all local schools are closed, my job is not. The two VPs I'm supposed to be meeting with today had better make it in. Or, at least, they had better receive word that I did make it in!
