Go Bears!!!
I'm just bummed that I'll be missing the game since I'll be in class on Sunday. I've already got my dvr all set, and I'm resolved to not listen to the radio at all while I'm driving home. I should get back to my place just as the game finishes, so I'll be a few hours behind in watching it.

Any later than that and you'll be able to tell who won by observing people's behavior in the street....
I plan on watching the dog show on ABC on Sunday.

I live in the suburbs, and it'll be damn cold and after dark. There isn't going to be anyone on the street who's not in a car by then.
Very happy to find out that Favorite Writing Prof remembers me very well...possibly better than I remember me from the same period. (I was kind of a mess and had a crush on him that occasionally bordered on Pathetic.)
He's a Kenyon grad like Hecubus and an old hippie...those people always love me. Fifteen years ago, I'd have wet myself if I had known that he kept my work, though it's still flattering.
Just not nipples-rise- flattering.
Although I think there's an Amy Bloom story that started that same way once...and we can't forget my man Philip Roth.
I'm rooting for the Packers, but the new Gov. of WI is a wanker....
He is such a fucking tool I can hardly describe it. He was county executive of Milwaukee some nice white suburbs (and also maybe some hellish place in the middle where poor and brown people live) for years. He's a really appalling man and the embodiment of rich resentful white guy.
(He turned down federal stimulus funding for a high-speed rail line between Milwaukee and Madison. As a result, WI lost thousands of jobs and the funding went to CA.)
I'll just point out that he turned down the high-speed rail line, but pitched a royal hissy fit when the feds were like "um, yeah, we'll be taking those funds back then."

::sobs some more::

He's a tea-bagger, right? A tea-bagging wanker? (I just like that image.) I heard that's why he rejected the project (but I hadn't heard he still wanted the money).
I feel confident promising that should you ever visit Melbourne, we will be able to keep our rivers shark encounter-free.
Melbourne is back on the I Should Visit (Because I Won't Fear Nom By Shark) ((More Than Usual)) list.
We have sharks on the street in NYC, too: [link]
I cannot believe I clicked unknowingly on that link.
I can't even cry anymore. Not for her, or my brother, or my dog, or anything. I'm just going about my day, working, doing trivial things, surfing the web, waiting to see what happens next.
Being numb and just getting through it is okay right now.
and sent a bottle I'll never wear again and I know she loves home with Cass the other day.
Is very pretty.
