Sharktopus came up at my department lunch today, too! Weird.
It's still after the holidays. You're good.
Well, yeah. And who knows which holidays they meant! It's not even Evacuation Day yet! (Which day -- 3/17 -- I do have to work, but at least we get Patriots Day off....)
...to give me a print-out of his nephew's new contract with the Oakland A's!
Cool beans! Was he drafted this year?
amyth, I am so sorry. And numb is probably the best thing for you right now.

It's Brad Ziegler, remember? They avoided arbitration and get got a nice raise from league minimum to something over a million.
It's Brad Ziegler, remember?
Right! I had forgotten. That's great for Brad. He used to post at AN, and he's a very interesting guy. Nice to know he's a millionaire now. Though the A's bullpen has definitely gotten a bit crowded in the last week.
A friend's blog Baby toes!
I have a somewhat ridiculous question. Do any of you have a pair of black leather Mary Janes (that look similar to this or this) that you don't want, that I could give a good home to? I need to find a pair to decorate with spikes so I can take pictures for a tutorial on GCS.
{{{amyth}}} I hope things get easier for you soon.
Jilli, I have no Mary Janes, or many other shoes, for that matter. Something I might actually take care of when I do my big shopping trip sometime towards the end of the next year.
IcompletelyON, the governors of Illinois and Wisconsin have their bets in for this weekend's Bears/Packers game--the loser has to work at a food pantry in the winner's state, while wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the winning team's logo, "as well as fly the team’s flag in the governor’s office on the day before the Super Bowl."
I'm rooting for the Packers, but the new Gov. of WI is a wanker....
(He turned down federal stimulus funding for a high-speed rail line between Milwaukee and Madison. As a result, WI lost thousands of jobs and the funding went to CA.)
