Yay, Galaxyzoo! Everyone should zoo!
I would totally be flipping my lid in your position, Suela. I hope it all works out favorably for you.
Small but good day at classes today. Then I lolled around, eating Stouffers (that we bought for the housesitter) and reading my Nook. I read Dorian Gray and a pamphlet about making smoothies and a third of the book the SO wants me to read.

Jeez, 'Suela, how ridiculous. Wishing you much luck.
they brought a lawyer who was in her mid-30s and had curly dark hair and I just kept thinking she was related to you, because she had your shape face and hair much like yours. She was very cute!
Hah! And yay cute-me-alikes. :)
I take chiros with a grain of salt, erin--they seem to think they can solve everything from sinus problems to diabetes. Which I think is a big load of bullshit. That said, I LOOOOOOVE having my back cracked--normally I'd lean back over a chair, or have a friend pick me up, but the chiro does it best (and can crack my neck, which is amazing and something I trust to a professional). One thing I'd suggest--ask what the insurance rate is, even if your insurance doesn't cover it. My old one did--at $30 a pop, and the cash rate was $60. When I got new insurance that didn't cover it, I told them I'd keep coming if I could pay the insurance rate and they let me!
Erin - a good chiro is a truly wonderful thing. So is a good masseuse - just for different problems. I had brief few months of glory where my chiro and massage therapist were in the same building - so i could get adjusted and then a massage (or vice versa) without having to drive in btween.
Whoa, my younger cat just hoarked from the top of a tall cat tree, launching the hoark onto the floor. Ew.
I know i should clean it up....but....i fear i might hurl myself if i try to clean it up while it's still....warm. Now both cats are sniffing like they might eat it. This is incredibly disgusting. i'm so sorry to share.
Osteopath, chiro, low-impact...will investigate!
I don't want then to save my life or anything; I would just like my neck, head and shoulders to feel better.
great, cleaning up the cat hoark led me to cough until i hoarked also. and lemme tell ya, arrabiata sauce is NOT fun coming back up. *sigh* why do i keep these feline contagions around?
ita, Judge Weldon? David Oyelowo, the actor from Five Days.
Australia, what is the deal? Sharks in the STREETS. They're not even staying in swimming pools or bathtubs.
Bull sharks have an unusually high tolerance to fresh water, and have been found even 50 km upriver. This one's a novelty, though. (They're also known man-eaters, so this isn't entirely comfortable news.)
Bull sharks have an unusually high tolerance to fresh water
Yes. This is why I now freak out in now entirely justified ways about sharks in rivers and lakes and ... pools. Okay, the only addition to my freaking out was learning a few years ago that bull sharks totally will go in fresh water. The fear was already there. But now it is JUSTIFIED fear.
I will now add "sharks in the streets" to my list of fears. And maybe think about moving back to a more desert location where there are fewer possibilities of street sharks.
Sharks.
In the streets.
That is not cool, Australia. Not cool.
