this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I don't like raisins, but pine nuts are an idea. Also garlic.

Also white beans (canned are fine if you rinse them), and then serve it all over pasta.

Dried cranberries or cherries would work too. I just made brown bread with tart cherries instead of raisins and it was so much better.

Ooh, sounds yum! I have dried cranberries for my oatmeal...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I always pick up a bag of baby spinach at TJ's. I use it for salads, omelets, stir fry (always added at the very end), or in things I've sauteed to put on pasta.

JZ is true to her Greek heritage and will eat spinach, feta and olives every day of the week.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That's what I used!

How does that work? Just spinach on top of pasta? No sauce? The spinach is the sauce?

I've only been to nondenom, quaker and random other christian weddings.

So today, they came to me with request to do an insert on a table. "It's just like your system! Except on a different database! And a different database OS! Oh, you didn't know about it? What, you don't have an account on the server? And don't have the interface software to the db? Oh and we're live!" WTFF. They've been SO GODDAMNED CAGEY about this mission that ops didn't know they went live until today. They've been live for a week.

This isn't the first time this has happened lately. We need to have a talk.

And sitting at my desk, I pinched a nerve or something right by the shoulder/collarbone meetup. And it's really annoying. Even could feel it in the pool. Which was a madhouse, at one point with 10 people sharing 2 lanes. At least they were considerate and stayed out of my way.

I so so SO need an attitude adjustment. I feel as if I'm having 2 weeks of pms, such is my irritation level. And yet, no. It's just the situation.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The olive oil is the sauce, pretty much. There isn't really an actual sauce, just enough olive oil (which would have picked up the garlic flavor) to coat the pasta.

My elbow bruise is migrating down my arm. I really knocked the shit out of it. Doesn't hurt to the touch anymore, at least. More than can be said of my shin.

What Hil said. You cook it in olive oil, and a little butter, maybe some garlic. And then you put the cooked pasta right into the pan with the stuff you're sauteing and mix the pasta up with it.

You can do this with any combination of things you might saute, like mushrooms, or chicken.
