I looked all over their website for a "are we delivering oddly?" customer service link. Cannot find one.

When I had a fit over UPS a while back, I tried phone calls and emails and got brushed off both ways. I was going to send an epic letter to the corporate office but it was such a complicated story that I gave up and sent much shorter messages to Amazon & a few other companies saying "Listen, you're swell, but since you ship via UPS I can't shop on your site, because it's just not worth the frustration. Just thought you should know in case I'm not the only one."

I've also sent grateful emails to companies that ship via Fed Ex or USPS, and a couple of times I've said things like, "I really want to give you my money, and I would be happy to pay the difference in cost if you could ship this ANY OTHER WAY."

I have a friend who was told by someone in UPS customer service that basically UPS didn't care about keeping the deliverees happy, they just care about keeping their big corporate clients happy, and she's been leaving pretty similar messages ever since.

Oh look, UPS complaining, let me join! Today, the ninja delivery person must have snuck up the stairs to leave a You weren't home! We'll try again tomorrow" note on the door, because Pete was sitting in the living room the whole afternoon. Dammit, I wanted that absinthe delivery, UPS.

UPS left packages, a week late, at my friends house when they'd been asked to hold them because they were out of town. Luckily, I was catsitting and they didn't get stolen (they have a big problem with that being right across from a bus stop.)

I love that my front door is tucked in a funny corner and isn't a big deal if a box is left outside. On the other hand, I've had deliveries where I've been home but they have put a note on my door and then took the box to the office.

It's almost all gang members getting shot in my neighborhood right now, but that's really not that comforting.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I hate UPS. They always seem to do things like leave expensive items on my porch to be stolen, and then will not deliver my catfood without my signature.

Sorry you are joining the thankfully small ranks of buffistas who had murders in front of where they live (um, I think that's just you and me so far.) At least your car wasn't behind crimetape??

I don't bring home the work laptop for a reason. Just checked status and sent email.

There's a latent (mostly beaten into submission) overachiever in me, and this brings it out.

At least this weekend, they are migrating my mail to a new server and I can't check it. But then will spend the next week recovering from that. Cause there is fallout and uhg and now they want me to upgrade OS, which. Fine. But not all at once. And not after this month of HELL.

UPS is my second to least favorite delivery outfit. I'm a USPS person all the way. My least favorite is Golden State Overnight who inevitably fuck up Grace's medical supplies.

Liese, glad you got home safe and sound. Roy's is NOM!

I'm sort of in love with playing the ESP game and have just wasted too much time doing it. [link]
