Punishingly Intricate

We had elderly neighbors next door who we would stay with if we were too sick to go to school but too well for our mom to take off work to stay home with us. They were the best! Super nice and very liberal with the application of cookies for the sick kid if they could handle them.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, if I stayed home from school, I stayed in bed. Actually, I stayed in the sofa bed down at my grandparents'. But I was never a puker except on holidays and vacation.

Holy crap, now I need to eat raclette ASAP: [link]

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Thank goodness for neighbors like that!

Fred, I'm so sorry for your loss. You did everything you could, and made him a happy cat for long long time.

Because books.

Did you ever eat at Artisenal, Jesse? OMG so good. It's like cheese heaven.

Edited for undercaffeinated spelling mistakes.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The Aunt and Uncle I'm now helping out had an elaborate policy for missing school. If you missed a day of school you had the following day's afterschool activity too. So if you were out tuesday you missed, say, gymnastics wednesday even though you were back at school.

It cut back on faked illnesses to be sure.

Poor little Dillo! Home seems wise.

Some it's-nothing-ma? I felt a sore spot up by my collarbone yesterday and there is a marble sized bump there and it's tender. I am on my way to the dr, they are seeing me when I get there.

Oh yes. I worked in that building for a while, and we would go after work sometimes. A little gougeres, a little cheese plate. Yum.

All kinds of nothing~ma, msbelle.

S. made gougeres the other night, Jesse, and I almost wept with joy. I'd only ever had them there, and he found a recipe on the web. SO good.
