Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Oh, Tommy, those poor kitties! They looked like worms wiggling in the air trying to orient themselves.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I think one of my cats would adapt to weightlessness pretty quickly.

The others? Would not be amused.

SPACE CAT!

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

At some point today I'll need to eat something, but I'm not looking forward to it.

Because books.

Aw, S. is taking Sara to the elementary school to sled on the big hill. Many points to him for that. I am so not a snow sports person.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Here's a doggie exposed to a brief period of zero-g in a small plane: [link]

The doggie seems less traumatized - perhaps because it wasn't pushed towards the side of the plane by a human....

not your mom's socks.

I just helped HKF clean her room. I swear she is auditioning for hoarders. Also, the school/camp/industrial complex that thinks it is a positive thing to send home every braided pile of pipecleaners, painted plastic bottles, buttons sewn on rags, and tissue paper flowers that they churn out every dang day? Do!not!want!

Otoh, she is reveling in how spacious her room is now. It's not spacious. She was just down to a narrow walkway between her door and her bed.

Next round: the craft table/breakfast room.

I deserve a ribbon or something.

Canoeing Through McDonalds

Parts of Australia are seeing the worst flooding in years. In Brisbane, a video crew paddles through a McDonalds outlet in a canoe. The song is “Fish Heads” by Barnes and Barnes.
