Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I bet New York is fine, snow-wise, if that's what you're concerned about.

I bowled tonight for the first time in like 20 years. It was fun! Candlepin, obviously.

In the continuing story of irritation from today, Grace's pulmonologist essentially told me that I have increase Grace's calories by using Duocal (which I won't do). She's already getting food that is 1.2 calories per mL which is wicked high. UGH. DO NOT WANT. Want doctor who listens please. (Though the woman is actually a wonderful doc in general, but she's a pulmonologist, not a GI or nutritionist. She needs to BACK OFF on this topic.)

Meanwhile, I'm trying to decide if it's gross to wear the same pair of jeans every day of the three-day weekend. Which I also wore today.

why does the pulmonologist care about calorie intake? How does that affect her lungs? lungs, right?

That's the slideshow I meant--"three pairs of shorts, three pairs of dress pants, one skirt, three pairs of casual pants or jeans, three nightgowns, three bathing suits, one sarong, three lightweight sweaters, four dresses, 10 casual shirts, six dress shirts, a clutch, toiletries and two pairs of shoes." SERIOUSLY? For a ten day trip you need a shirt each day AND six dress shirts AND 4 dresses?

YES. lungs.

I mean bigger is healthier when it comes to many kids (until they get fat then it's all bets are off). And kids with breathing issues can register as tiny on the scales. AND Grace is probably in the 10% range for her height and weight and age. Maybe closer to 5%.

AND, Grace did lose 100 grams since the last visit in September.

What kills me is that no one cares that Noah weighs less and eats like shit. Grace eats like some Whole Foods/Michael Pollan goddess. She gets sardines, kale, beets, quinoa, brown rice, cashew or almond butter, coconut milk, flax seeds and oil, broccoli, carrots, brussel sprouts, chicken breast. Are you kidding? This kid's diet is better than like 90% of the population. She never has chicken nuggets or fries.

Maybe I should give her a strict diet of chicken nuggets, fries and milk shakes and then she'd gain?

That is not any sort of trip I have ever taken. My bag for this weekend, staying 1-2 nights:

1 pair pjs, 1 pair shoes, 2 pair jeans (wear one down), 1 skirt, 3 shirts (wear one down), 2 cardigans, 1 coat (wear down), toilitries, 2 knitting projects, 1 book

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My aunt who has just had some massive GI issues (including surgery) can't seem to gain the weight back. She has also stopped drinking coffee, which would seem to be a good thing, but I bet the loss of the massive amounts of half-and-half she was having with the coffee isn't helping her gain weight.... So, damned if you do, damned if you don't, I guess.

you could buy some of that weight gain 800000 or whatever it us called at the gnc/vitamin store thingies. Grace can be our little bodybuilder.

Compassionately intolerant

3 nightgowns for 10 days?

Oh my. ::looks shame faced at much loved, but no longer actually white night shirt::

Once I get comfy with a nightshirt, I don't sleep around. I'm monogamous that way. It gets washed, but not rotated.
