Thought: lotion up with your favorite stinkiest lotion and pet Oz so he's stinky too.

Will I need boots every day in NY? I'm flying in in cowboy boots, and I'm wearing granny boots to the wedding. Is there room for a pair of normal Doc Marten mary janes in the weather?
Why the fuck did I log into work, find an email not sent because OMGWTFSHIT! halon dump, and then sit down, review it, add a few lines and send.
This is why I don't bring my work laptop home. Lazy over-achievers syndrome.
I'm suspicious of bringing more than two pairs of shoes on most any trip, ita. Maybe a pair of flip flops for the beach or something, but those don't take up any room. But you definitely can't go more than 3 pairs unless you were in the wedding and had to wear a specific (not fabulous) pair or something.
I'm thinking boots to travel in, for weather consideration and most time spent outside. Different pair of boots for the outfit, and then a normal pair to wear the rest of the time. But if the weather is crap, maybe just boots boots boots. Dunno. I forget how I operated in winter.
a weekend trip?
Ayup. Two nights.
The switch made dates skip forward, not backward. In the UK it was September 2nd, and the next day was September 14th. And then Faction Paradox purchased those missing days from George III and gave him a woolly mammoth, of course.
Way after the fact, but major kudos for the Doctor Who reference. Faction Paradox is quite awesome.
Sarah Palin is a Russian Jew? She can see her family from her house!
This is just the funniest thing I've heard all week.
the shoes you wear on the plane and the shoes for the wedding should be the only shoes you take.
Yeah, ita, I only two two pairs on my 10 day trip to Europe last month! (Granted, I wished I had a pair of flip flops or something, but that's beside the point). I took three pairs on my 17 day trip around the world through winter (New Zealand) and summer (Egypt and Vietnam) (warm shoes, sandals, and flip flops).
I'm all about minimalist packing--I was reading an article/slideshow in the NYTimes about a flight attendant and packing for a 10 day trip in a carryon...and when I saw how much she packed I was SHOCKED--why would she need so much clothes?!?
