Query: my neighbor got her downspout in brown. It blends nicely. I know I don't want white. I should go with brown, right? Mine is grey where there is paint, and just metal where it's peeled, and I do like the grey, but don't think I'd like brand-spanking new grey, you know? [link]

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Do what you like. There are lots of shades of grey and some of them are quite lovely. Either grey or brown would blend nicely, probably.

Yeah, no. I may be wearing a lot more pink these days (fuschia really) but I ain't painting house pink. Doors red and blue and purple, someday. Not pink.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ugh, Consuela. I hope it works out, and that tonight you get an awesome night of Max Headroom and alcohol.

In similar day news, I jut got a bill from the surgicenter where I had my surgery in September for almost $6000, even though back on October the insurance company told me they had paid basically all of it, and the surgicenter told me I didn't owe them anything at all.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh dear, Perkins. That had better be a mistake!

Perkins, can you resubmit to your insurance?

I suspect it's at least mostly a paperwork error. The insurance company records show that they paid all but a small portion of that bill, and back in October, the Surgicenter itself told me I didn't owe them anything.

Not looking forward to getting it straightened out though.

I think this is where you kick it back to the center and your insurance. Uhg.

Tonight I had to share a lane with 3 people, which means circle swim, which I kinda hate. And since I was the fastest, it was kinda annoying, having to pass or slow down when someone didn't judge right and went ahead of me when I was on their heels. What redeemed it was one of the women telling me I'd just given her the workout of her life, trying to keep up/out of the way and that she'd share a lane with me any day, I was a really courteous lane-sharer. So even if I was mentally bitching....

I have to say, I've never introduced myself or talked to so many people in the nude in my whole life as I have in the past 18 months. Ah, locker rooms. And the apparent demise of my modesty. I have now become my father, because I have uttered "OH! I didn't recognize you with your clothes....on..." in a public not-Y place to a fellow swimmer.

Hey, Good Stuff submitters -- I'm going to be out of town and probably offline for the long weekend, so as many things as you can submit tomorrow would be awesome, so I can fill up the queue.

Thanks!!
