Pretty much all my nicer shoes live at the office. I have a whole filing cabinet drawer with nothing else. And that's not counting the ones scattered under my desk.

Ugh. Went to talk with the orthodontist. He doesn't think Em's treatment is going to be enough so she probably will need surgery. Thing is, it's almost never covered by insurance. We have to figure on at least $40,000 when the time comes. He said that however well-intentioned, about 90% of his patients who need surgery don't get it because the parents just can't afford it.

Gud - what kind of surgery? CJ's ortho said he will likely need jaw surgery to correct a severe underbite. He wouldn't get it done until his early 20's since they would want to wait for him to be past his growing phase, but that insurance may cover it if we make a case for sleep apnea.
