Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm still stuck on a teacher branding students with a Tesla coil, and only one person apparently having any problem with that. I would have gone completely ballistic. And then sued.

Hardly any members of Congress do. Why should she have? She certainly wasn't the only one to ever be threatened; why should she have taken it any more seriously than anyone else? If she had freaked out and hired personal security, imagine how that would have been received. Humphries is an assh0le.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Evanston police arrested three alleged burglars after tracking footprints in the snow leading from the burglarized house, officials said today.

Seriously, one night when I lived in a former apartment (the top 2 floors of a house), I watched a pizza delivery guy get mugged on my front lawn. The perps had called in a fake order to a non-existent address; the closest address was my house. He came up to my door to find out if I knew who ordered it. After I went back upstairs, I heard a lot of yelling and commotion, and looked out the window in time to see 2 dudes run around the side of my house into the backyard (and, presumably, over the fence).

I called the police and gave them as much info as I could. Turns out the police were able to track and catch the perps, because the robbery happened in winter, with a shitload of snow in the yard, so the police just followed the footsteps.

Crime makes you stupid.

But perhaps I'd find it rude partially because of my NGA status. Dunno.

Well, there is that. If I weren't NGA, I could at least get back at him with some loud sex of my own. :)

I'm just glad I wasn't trying to make any work phone calls!!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Aw. Thanks for all the kind words. Even though they're coming from a bunch of atheists!

Alas for those Christians who hold the attitude, "Insult them all, God will know his own."

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Watching the Memorial in Tuscon. President Obama just said that the Congress woman has opened her eyes, right after he and Michelle left the room.

Also, her husband, who is short, hugging the burley intern who held her and staunched her wounds, made me tear up.

Art Crawl!!!

I took a nap when I got home from work and only just woke up. That was 3 hours ago.

I turned on Human Nature to find that show about raising a baby (Raising Hope?) and the Tucson Memorial.

And it's true: Obama has gone quite gray. Or possibly . . . grey.

Our wings are not tired.

I tried to watch the memorial but couldn't deal with the clapping (?!) and turned it off after 3 minutes. I am watching less and less live tv.

Saturday I watched news coverage of the attack and it was the most (live) tv I'd watched since the World Series. I don't miss it at all. However, I am a baseball nut so Comcast will own my soul for this sin (about 2/3s of the Giants games require "preferred" cable, which is one level above basic).

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

As for the food map, I was very pleased to see that they had toasted ravioli for Missouri as is right and proper.

Is this a St. Louis thing?
