I have a math problem I need help with-
If a toner prints 6000 copies when the page is 20% covered in ink, how many copies should it print at when the page is covered at 50%?
Since I don't know how toners work, it's either 15,000 (if the fact that it's 2.5 times more covered in ink means it will print more) or 2,400 (if 2.5 times more ink will result in fewer copies).

Sarah Jane Moore! Who has a great song in Assassins. Squeaky gets a duet with John Hinckley, singing to their obsessions.
It is less-- so 2400.
I hate to ask, but can you tell me how you figured that out. I am trying to figure out the cost difference between printing many brochures on my laser printer rather than taking them to the print shop, and I am trying to approximate a cost per page. I know they will ask me how I came up with it!
T- that makes sense, except for the number should be less.
should it be .8 instead of .2, because the page is 80 covered, then 50 percent covered?
50% covered in ink is 2.5 times more covered than 20%, so the toner will print 2.5 times fewer copies. 6000 divided by 2.5 is 2400.
You don't have to shovel the sidewalks in my neighborhood. Likely because we don't have sidewalks.
P-C, you should have said you counted all the pixels on all 6000 pages....
