Does working on your thought-organization/notebooks count as writing? Downloading more apps to help?
Yeah, I thought not.
But but but. My issue is that I love drafting ideas on a very particular Mac tool (Circus Ponies Notebook) which isn't compatible with anything. I use paper and pen too - and notebooks for ideas when I'm not at my desk. I wish there was some way to keep it all together AND have it in a place where I could flip through things (one thing I've realized that I hate about Word et. al is scrolling down a document), AND be able to draw on it...
yeah, still not writing am I.
nothing to see here. poof.
Random wild ponies!
Okay - loose ponies - in San Antonio - where the cops keep lariats in their trunks. Who knew?
But: PONIES!
What about using LiveScribe pen and notebooks, Sox? A little expensive for the outlay, but I am seriously thinking about it for next year for teaching.
It could be a deduction!

oh now, that's pretty. It is spendy for now, though.
what? I'm not here. not here at all.
They've cancelled UGA again for tomorrow. I am over the snow now.
Also, I suggested people attempt to shovel their sidewalks, which you can do with a garden shovel - I did mine in half an hour this morning - and have been mocked on two fronts. Responsibility, people! You don't have to just sit and wait for warmer temperatures, assuming you are healthy and possess an implement!
It is spendy, Sox. But SO SO COOL, if you like to write down notes.
I plot all of my courses and lectures using legal pads, and then transcribe them. It's how I think, so the LiveScribe would be great for modeling writing and grammar assignments, outlines, notes, reading strategies....
I really want one.
Is it just me, or does Jared Loughner
look
insane?

Man, a morning is always improved by tommyrot's links. He's our very own reddit.
Best comment from What's Causing the Mass Animal Die-Offs?:
There's a completely simple scientific explanation for these mass die-offs. Closer observation of the ecological system in the affected area reveals feral pigs have stolen the birds' eggs, and the birds have no means to retaliate except to launch themselves against the pigs' ramshackle dwellings by means of a giant slingshot.
