Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh ita, I hope you are feeling better by now. Sounds like it was a particularly bad morning.

Relatedly, I notice that most of the posting this am is from the West Coast. What? Is everyone else out for brunch? We were planning on brunching at the Farmers Market this am, but it's a bit wet out for that.

Oh man, I'm totally sucked into watching God In America, which I taped off PBS last week. Fascinating! And the music is really good -- I keep getting swept up in the emotion. Remember that Pew religion survey that came out the other week? Pew was a major funder of this show.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Remember that Pew religion survey that came out the other week?

Was that the one about how non-religious people know more about religion than people of faith? The Girl has been reading America's Four Gods, which sounds very interesting. (My research involves a lot of sociology of religion. I love this stuff.)

I'm waiting for a friend to pick me up for a belated b-day lunch. It's beautiful out today. Will miss seeing the Ravens game, but I have my Ravens shirt on nonetheless. I'm a convert! Am curious about God in America, Jesse - is it a documentary? PBS? Hope you are much better now, ita.

Because books.

I'm home alone this weekend, so I've been making pancakes and planning baking for later, while listening to, uh, show tunes.

I feel like my mom.

ita, I hope the meds kicked in and you get some good pain-free sleep today.

Well, that was one of the headlines, sure.

Jen, yep. It's streaming online: [link]

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Ah, God in America aka The Project That Wouldn't Die. It was one of those jobs we just assumed would stay in limbo forever, fading away and then coming back months later with a different production company name. I couldn't believe it when they actually went to license!!

I'm writing a Dylan run-book for my in-laws for when they come to sit next weekend. Seeing every minute detail of my day written down is making me think this parenting gig is way underpaid.
