Zoe: Nobody's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sorry you got blindsided with that, Suzi. I hope you can get it sorted.

I think I'm skipping my after-work swim today, in favor of picking up my Honeybell oranges that Dad mailed out as well as an Amazon delivery. Also, I'm still arguing with my stomach, and the couple of sips of water I've had since lunch are not settling well, either.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Does the pineapple on my reheated leftover pizza count? I could go eat an apple, I guess.

Suzi, that sucks. I hate banks that shaft me. I've closed accounts over shit like that.

Nonian, I also thank you for the work you're doing. I hope you can find a way to resolve that problem.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Note: This criteria seems unduly restrictive as it would probably eliminate most tropical fruits which, I think it is safe to say, should count as a fruit serving.

Feel free to substitute the appropriate tropical fantasy variation. Perhaps an exclusive Hawaiian resort with cabana boys bringing you a varied fruit plate with pineapple, papaya, mango and oranges.

In other related news, I just ate some peas and broccoli and my body was so happy to eat healthy green vegetables it practically yelped, "Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!"

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, inestimable NY-knowledgeable hivemind--if my sister has a noon flight from JFK on a partial holiday (MLK Jr day), when should be be leaving the UES?

I am so glad the other developer is taking over this presentation from me. I'm a little scared that he just started reviewing the material ten minutes ago, but he already found two errors (made not by me!) in it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

As a kid, I acquired a pea-hatred from canned peas. Then I tasted fresh peas and figured out the problem....

I had a head of cauliflower for lunch, but it doesn't seem to have been enough. Hm.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

last night i made a little bit of pasta and some steamed broccoli with lemon juice. I would have been very happy with just the broccoli, i realized *after* boiling the pasta.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

(and i've had both an apple and an orange so far today.)

Me, too! Even frozen peas are miles ahead of canned (ptui!) peas.
