msbelle (and the board) are helpful personal shoppers.

So I didn't get much planned done today. The soup didn't happen. Neither did clothes shopping. I think the latter was deliberate. But I swam a full 2 mile crawl and didn't lose time like I've been all week, so that's good. And I bought a respirator mask and weatherstripping and installed the latter. Nails are done and keys acquired from neighbors I am catsitting for. That counts, right?

Also, I am sore, but not from the swimming. Remember how the other night I tried to kill myself on the front steps and pulled a muscle? I'm still trying. Somehow misplaced my feet reaching for something this morning and did a full back plant (not sure exactly how.) Except on my hip and shoulder. I was lying there stunned and said aloud "Now how the fuck did that happen?" I'd blame the cats, but both Devi and Loki were staring at me like what the fuck was that from across the room. I swear, it's a talent. I missed a step just a bit ago, at least I was going fast enough, momentum carried me through. I'd really like my joints to tighten the fuck back up. Kinda necessary for reliable locomotion, you know?

And Devi? I know Loki is being especially assholish tonight, but no need to note it by pooping in the corner.

This is her new thing. Sigh. At least it is tidy and so obvious I catch it fast.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

God, I wish I could find a good delivery pizza here. And a good pizza that I could reheat well. Is that asking the impossible?

Friday's 'za was a complete bust. I think I'll flip through my non-big-chain flyers and gamble on one of them, but I don't remember any of them being great.

Good pizza that reheats well is really so challenging. I do find that reheating in the oven works much better than reheating in the microwave, but it is still never the same.

not your mom's socks.

oh no sarameg!

I love the personal shopping peninsula of buffista island.

Is it possible to add too many things to a chicken soup? I have the inevitable balance of 'leftovers we won't use any other way' fighting against my love for a very particular set of things in my chicken soup. I probably shouldn't go for both, should I? I'm going to use the baked root vegetables, the broccoli and cauliflower, and hold off on the pasta until we're ready to eat it. but I would love to put in corn or peas... Someone stop me. I managed to make a decent broth out of the chicken from dinner tonight.

We also made 3 quarts of turkey chili, and I have leftover eggplant parmesan - so the fridge, for the first time in ages, is full! Now I want to make bread.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I worked in the yard for three hours today. I helped J dig up the baby tree which got blown over, pulled All the Weeds, and laid down seven bags of mulch. I am sore which is no big, but the worst of it is the nine zillion scratches all over my hands from the aloes and agave. I look like I have been trying to fight a cheetah in a tennis court.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I like my soup to be practically stew, Sox, so I'd go ahead and put everything in. Yum.

I had pizza for dinner. I have just about got the hang of this thin crust in the toaster oven thing.

All I had for dinner was a salad with some ham and cheese in it and now I am ravenous. It was really my best option for dinner, but still. Hungry! Pizza sounds excellent.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

sarameg, I fell on my butt twice last night, once dead sober and once slightly tipsy. The time I was sober, I actually bumped down two or three steps on my rear. Fortunately, it was the nice cushiony part and not my tailbone.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I love the personal shopping peninsula of buffista island.

Me, too!

I had chicken cacciatore for dinner with spaghetti and zucchini, and chocolate pudding pie for dessert. Courtesy of Cafe Mom, of course.
