Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.
This is making me so angry and sick I can barely see straight. The last reports I saw said Giffords survived surgery, but a federal judge, one of Giffords' aides, and a 9-year-old child are dead. The shooter may not have been motivated directly by the rhetoric and images of Palin and these other right-wing hatemongers, but I can't believe this atmosphere of hate and violence had nothing to do with some crazy person's decision to shoot a woman in the back of the head today and fire off some 20 rounds into a crowd of people.
Am I right that Arizona recently passed a law making it legal to carry a concealed weapon without a permit?

Meanwhile, over in Arizona, a protester who showed up to meet the local congresswoman at a supermarket was removed by police when the pistol he had holstered under his armpit fell, bouncing on the floor and alarming the nonprotesting attendees. This, too, turned out to be legal, although the dropping part is not recommended.
