I have no idea of my college had an alma mater. But my high school one? I know and can still sing toay:
This is me. In fact, my best friend from hs, my mom, and all my aunts and I (and my grandmother when she was alive) will, when together, break into it spontaneously and sing it all the way through. It was written by Sister Aloysius Peach!
Ursuline to you are turning
loyal hearts with love alight
while beside the lamp of learning
shines our colors--red and white
It goes on for a while after that and into ranges that, really, only dogs can hear.
She said "Oh no, Guadalajara won't do."
Well I did not think the girl could be so...cruuuuel."
And I'm never going back to my old...schooool."
Oh, I love that song, Frank.
It means that, too.
That makes no sense. I vote against that.
Oh, I love that song, Frank.
All the alma mater talk earwormed me on that somehow, but it's not a bad earworm to have.
That's one of my favorite Steely Dan songs! It's one my Sam and Dean playlist.

According to wikipedia, the alma mater = school song is primarily american, and because many of the songs contained the words "alma mater"/
I googled and realized that I actually knew the first two lines of Illinois' fight song (the original one):
We're loyal to you, Illinois
We're Orange and Blue, Illinois
(What the heck does that mean?)
The rest (from wikipedia):
We'll back you to stand
Gainst the best in the land,
For we know you have sand, Illinois,
Rah! Rah!
So crack out that ball Illinois,
We're backing you all Illinois;
Our team is our fame protector,
On! boys, for we expect a vict'ry from you Illinois!
Che-he! Che-ha! Che-ha-ha-ha!
Go Illini go!
Che-he! Che-ha! Che-ha-ha-ha!
Go Illini go!
Illinois! Illinois! Illinois!
Fling out that dear old flag of Orange and Blue,
Lead on your sons and daughters, fighting for you;
Like men of old, on giants placing reliance, shouting defiance
Oskee wow-wow!
Amid the broad green plains that nourish our land,
For honest Labor and for Learning we stand,
And unto thee we pledge our heart and hand,
Dear Alma Mater Illinois.
And it is so long that they wrote another shorter one called, "Oskee Wow-Wow" - which I didn't know at all. Possibly because I never went to a game. You can see the lyrics here.
I know we had a song but I don't even know if the band knew it
