Because books.

Holy crap. And seriously.

And not cheap!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Seriously! Yikes.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Pick the acrylic option, MUCH cheaper.

Because books.

Even that's more than I'd spend for acrylic, I have to say.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

All that money, and no electronics. IDGI.

I know! I kept looking for more options, but there weren't any.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Brief work update:

New officemates: Not conspicuously insane. New nurse: Chatty, pleasant, shared pictures of her kids with me, told me, "We're pretty casual about when you clock in and out here, as long as you get your work done." New doc: Remembered my mention of Hec during the initial interview three years ago, and ran to Amazon to buy his book. New co-admin: Has a giant Stitch in hula drag on top of her monitor. New breakroom: Has a coffeepot.

Old doc: Completely distraught, guilted the clinic manager into letting him keep me until Friday, approved me for $800+ worth of overtime over the next 4-6 weeks.

I... I don't even know what to make of all this. The lack of constant heart-racing queasy anxiety is just so strange.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hooray, JZ!! I am hopeful that the good stuff continues.

OMG, there's a Green Hornet ad with the Hornet singing Gangsta's Paradise. It's like they're trying to kill me. Personally. Vendetta.

Great news, JZ!
