So my appointment today went fine, and they didn't have to do a biopsy! Phew. They're putting me on a different antibiotic, and I have a followup appt next week to see how it's progressing. The doctor didn't seem too worried, but it was a nice moment of validation to hear him say, while examining my lymph nodes, things like "Wow, that's really swollen! You must be in a lot of pain." Which, yes, and that's no fun, but at least now I have confirmation that I'm not just making a big deal out of nothing. Here's hoping this round of antibiotics does the trick!
Eek, amyth! I hope you start feeling better soon! Though it's awesome to know that you have excellent neighbors who can take care of you if you need it.
Fortunately, secretaries and stewardesses don't become pregnant.
My worst ever paper fail was when the instructor thought I was arguing for X when I wrote the paper arguing Y. He just thought I made a really bad argument for X.
I'm glad the appointment went well, Kate. Yay!
Yay for the good appointment!
Yay for no biopsy Kate! And I hope these antibiotics help, and that you're in less pain.
Thanks, I feel much better. I drank a whole glass of ginger ale. Victory! I do have the bestest neighbors ever. And I have a guest room, for when the time is right for you and M. to pay a visit. Maybe this summer, when the weather is nice and humid and scorching.

That reminds me of a test in logic class that I failed because I proved the opposite of what I was supposed to. I had justifications for everything, too! The professor and I just stared at each other in bafflement over that test. Unfortunately, I was the only one to prove the opposite, or I may have had an argument to stand on.

Here's hoping! Also, that is the best. And by "best," I mean, well, at least the professionals agree you have an actual complaint/concern.
I'm glad the appointment went well, Kate. And I hope the new meds clear things up quickly.
