Punishingly Intricate

It was Rachel Miner and it last 2 years. They were, like, 17, when they got married. I just read about it in the paper yesterday! I don't randomly have this knowledge in my head. (although I did know that he was dating Mila Kunis for years.)

Best outcome for your mom, erika!

And sending LOADS of good job fast vibes your way, Hayden.

Coding and Sleeping

He and Scarlett Johannson divorced.

She looks really good in Iron Man 2, which I finally just saw (along with Iron Man). Um... nothing else to add really.

Oh, huh. Didn't know most of that stuff. Love Ryan Reynolds, though, and not so much Scarlett Johansen, so... here's hoping they're both better off. And speaking of RR, I'm looking forward to Green Lantern. And Green Hornet. I find it funny that the two greens are coming out around the same time.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am still irrationally mad about Green Hornet. I wonder when I'll get over that.

It looks fun from the trailer but I know nothing about the character or anything. Why so mad?

JenP - Jan 05, 2011 8:34:18 am PST #14866 of 30001

Why? I don't know too much about it, really, except basics. I think I listened to some old radio programs of it when I had access to satellite radio.

Tangentially, I love old radio. And I listen to it again now on podcasts thanks to my adorable pink Nano. Going through a detectives phase right now.

I don't get Ryan Reynolds...

Job-ma to Hayden, Heart-ma to Erika's mom and general ma to Windsparrow. It's so good to hear good news about Chicago Bob!

I started sneezing uncontrollably and eyes starting running while I was out getting lunch. It was like an allergy attack, except it hasn't gone away and I'm not allergic to anything (that I know of). Sudden cold onset.

JenP - Jan 05, 2011 8:39:19 am PST #14868 of 30001

Oh, ick, Sue. That happened to me once, but it wasn't a cold, so maybe yours will pass, I hope. Whatever it was, it was apparently the thing in the universe I'm mostallergic to. Very disconcerting. Hope it goes away soon.

I know nothing about the character or anything.

Neither do the movie's makers. The movie is a comedy, with what looks like flashily edited martial arts. The series was played mostly straight, and featured unparalled fighting (Bruce Lee). Seth Rogen just isn't the guy, and all the promos indicate that they're willing to amp up the goofy guy goes hero angle.

And no, I don't care that the GL trailer looks a little jokey. I still think they got the point.

brillig

Green Hornet looks like "Let Kato do all the work while slacker Hornet gets the credit." I don't remember enough of the original to know what the Hornet did to justify his street cred--other than to bankroll Kato.
