The fake AV would not close or even minimize, and yes I tried Task Manager, and my computer wouldn't shut down either so I had to flip off the power strip.
That sucks, smonster. I deal with this a lot, and usually I can remove it by booting in safe mode with networking, updating my antivirus/anti-malware software and running a scan, and editing the registry + dumping all recent and/or temp files.

Gray is gray, because I was raised here, but I will admit that when I see "grey" it's ghostly and foggy and ethereal.
