Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I ate like a fucking pig over the holidays. But my appetite doesn't seem to have lasted. Not having buffets of Jamaican food in front of me three times a day cuts down on the food lust.

I quoted Dune over the holiday (EASY Dune (mindkiller)), and everyone in the car gaped blankly. I said "Oh, god, I'm the only one here that's read Dune, aren't I?" and two people said "What's Dune?" (and went on to say "Sting acts?") and the other two started mangling the lyrics to Hey Jude.

My sister might eyeroll and sideeye whenever I mention Supernatural or too much Buffy, but at least she knows of the first book and movie. Still, it was a pretty dry vacation. I was going to say that she don't quote shit, but my mother did complain often about our "code." Maybe it's a twin thing. Or me forcing her into my stuff thing.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Both of the murder victims were single parents, but employed, hardworking people in stable situations.

So sad. Be careful out there my humans!

Brimstone and Treacle!

Also, Quadrophenia.

Librarian Warlord

Even Cockers were originally bred to hunt (and some still do.)

My father gets upset when he sees today's cockers, since as a boy they had them for hunting and, apparently, one of them was the "best damn hunting dog ever." When you ask the name of that dog, however, you only hear the names of the dogs around him, because that one never actually had a name.

Our dog is chipped, and I don't know if my DH will notice since the cost is so small compared to the rest of the bill (her blood test for determining the level of her seizure medication is over $150, and then there is the fee for walking through the door, the fee for the Lyme disease test because we found a tick on her ... as I was saying, she is a luxury item. An adorable luxury item.)

Our wings are not tired.

It kills me that I was across the street from the Adorable Luxury Item and did not meet her! But I did get to hold K, so I shouldn't be too upset!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

My cat was chipped and has tags. Although if he runs away he'll probably end up up road pizza next to one of the two busy roads near my apartment. But he'll be easily identifiable road pizza.

Brimstone and Treacle!

THANK YOU! It's exactly what I said.

Less so with the Quadrophenia. 3 Jamaicans, a Bermudan, and a Romanian. But everyone's heard of Brimstone and Treacle, right?

God, how is my world so small?

Turkey and orzo soup is finished and ready to be eaten. So yum.

I papercut my lip. Just what I needed alongside a chapped nose and split upper lip from the cold.

And I have the super bionic nose happening, which with the ook and the nosebleediness from the cold is super icky. Rest assured, though, I would never survive as a vampire because blood smells so gross with supersmell.

I am really exciting tonight.
