hip deep in pie

Happy Birthday Shrift. I hope the rest of the day is better.

I think my onerous task will be to finsh taking down the tree. I took all the ornaments off last night. But I have been avoiding taking off the lights and getting it outside. I really need to do it soon b/c Wednesday will be a tree pick up day.

This year's ornament death toll: 2. One was totally my fault, and the other I owe an assist to Clio--she sent the ornament tree tipping and I put down an old, fragile ornmaent quickly in order to catch the others from toppling. Just dropping it onto tissue that last inch or two was enough force for it to smash.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, yeah, I totally should take down decorations. But they are love! And happened because of Buffistas! They make me happy to look at. Maybe a few more days. Did I post those pics here?

Paper ceiling ornaments

Charlie Brown tree (made from free cutoffs from the nursery and decorated with kiddo ornaments and Kat's lovelies.)

And while I'm at it, passive solar at work:

Sunroom w/ winter garden and bonus Seabiscuit

8 1/2 foot heirloom tomato plant. The one in the sunroom is this tall too, plus fell over and then started growing back up again.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy birthday, shrift!

In honor of your birthday I will attempt a new curry tonight.

Do it, bonny! Today's the day.

Liese, you are kicking onerous tasks all over the yard. Which is where the firewood and your cardio workout are hiding.

Gold Star for Liese.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Jumping in late to do some onerous tasks, all computer-based:

1) figure out how much my old roomie owes me for bills
2) Read and summarize some stuff for work, then forward it on
3) Check bank account (scary!)
4) Pay credit card
5) Enter flex stuff for reimbursement

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Brandied Cherry Pie with ginger.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

My onerous task for today was to take down all my decorations and get them in my storage closet. And, I did! Yay me!

I was going to do it yesterday but woke up with a migraine that made me want to puke when I stood up for more than 30 seconds.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My onerous task for tomorrow is cleaning out my closet.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Good idea or crack idea?

VERY VERY GOOD.

I have done almost none of the onerous tasks on my to-do list. Bleargh.

I should stick in my earbuds and go file something.
