Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's not right.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I woke up before 5:00 for no apparent reason. To go back to an earlier conversation, I am catching up on the internets on the laptop in my bedroom.

I woke to the sound of breaking glass. Thanks, Devi. She's up to her old tricks of knocking things off. Market in a bit.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I woke at 1 to my usual insomnia. Then I woke again to the same at 5. Since 5 is my usual wakeup on school days I figured I'd just get up. Ugh. I hate insomnia.

Man, so much insomnia.

I am eating a slice of warm chili cheddar bread from a local bakery spread with juice sweetened apple butter from an orchard here in Md. NOM. Then I'll go run errands.

There was a time where I wouldn't leave the house without a shower, and god forbid, without taming bedhead. That time is past. I try to at least not have stuff sticking up in weird directions, but...I'm either lazy or have other priorities, take your pick.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ok, for values of sleeping in that mean somewhere around five. SO`s housework morning alarm went off. He slept through it. I did not. So I just now woke him up to see if it was important, but no. Anyway, I stoked the fire and it flared right back up. I love this rhythm. Kettle is on the stove. Dog is fed. We`ll do stovetop oatmeal this morning for breakfast. My internet access should renew shortly Life is pretty good, considering.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I slept in! Didn't wake up until 6:30!

Very exciting. Thank you, ambien.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I was up from 3:40 - 5:something. mac had gone to sleep on my floor, butt-naked. Since he wets, I woke him up and took him to the bathroom and got him in nightpants and into his bed.

Last night he had refused to go to bed when I was going, so 3:40 was actually my third time being awake after going to bed. He is SO doing a chore today to make-up for waking me up after promising not to.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Hooray for sleeping in! Edit: msbelle, sorry to hear about the interrupted night's sleep.

I'm being a slug. Normally I'm up and about by 7 or so, but it's 9:20 and I'm taking my sweet time getting going. All I really need to do today is go to the grocery store and go to the gym.

Speaking of the gym, I am proud to report that I can now do 2 sets of 12 deadlifts at 95 pounds, or 2 sets of 6 at 115.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, Anne! That's impressive.

Yay for the Rangers, msbelle! Boo for the waking.

I decided I wasn't doing anything anyway, so I might as well do my nails, but now they are just about dry, so it's almost time to actually do something with my day.
