Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

The blood spatter manicure looks SO COOL. When I'm sure they're dry (you should see me carefully poking at the keyboard right now), I'll post pictures.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

‎3 months, 2.75 gallons of stripper, 4 boxes of latex glove, 5 pair heavy duty rubber gloves, at least 5 packages of plastic sheeting, 3 rolls of paper towels (I think,) 3 rolls of masking tape, tweaked tendons, countless ruined manicures, a lot of swear words..and 80 years worth of paint. Gone. [link]

SO COOL!!!

Can someone link me to the blood splatter manicure instructions again?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The codeine-related drugs don't make me feel floaty; they make me feel fine. The niggling worries and pain go away, and I realize how infrequently I feel fine. I hoard my leftovers for the truly horrible days and for days I hurt myself.

Wordy word word.

I've found that "sense of well being" since sans opiates, but the first time I ever truly felt it was after a car accident in an emergency room in the middle of nowhere.

Not quite the same thing, but my mom's brain tumors went undiagnosed because when her migraine meds stopped controlling the pain her doctor wrote her off as drug seeking rather than looking further, even though the symptoms were not right.

Dear GOD. Or, you know, notgod...

What a fucking nightmare.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Nice Zombie Nails, Tep.

Congrats to the Texas Rangers who're going to the World Series for the first time ever.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Teppy, I love the shot with the knife.

I've got 300 jello shots setting up in my fridge.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The codeine-related drugs don't make me feel floaty; they make me feel fine. The niggling worries and pain go away, and I realize how infrequently I feel fine. I hoard my leftovers for the truly horrible days and for days I hurt myself.

This is Valium, for me.

I was just asking the pharmacist about differences between Naxo and Ibu (this was for my back pain). She said a couple of things that were interesting. That Naxo doesn't really work for everyone, but if it does work for you it's preferred. However, it is far more important to respect dosage and time delays on Naxo than it is for Ibu.

Interesting. Naxo does work for me, though it makes me feel kinda weird - can't describe it, just "something ain't quite right" weird. I've gotten the best results with 1-2 tylenol with 1-2 advil (thanks to Steph for telling me I could do that!). More than 600 mgs of tylenol makes me loopy, so it's self-limiting in that way, at least during the daytime.

If I can just hold out five or so more days, they will be long enough to paint, finally, all ten at the same time. But they're so soft, no matter how much calcium and biotin I take, and they tear so easily, and I overcorrect all the time.

BioSil. Not easy to find; they sell it at Vitamin Shoppe and drugstore.com. Take it every day. In a couple months your nails will be hard and tough. Also good for skin and hair. My sister and my niece both tried it for their nails, and when they ran out, asked for it for Christmas.

dang, sarameg, that's a lot of stripping.
