I'm a vision of hotliness, and how weird is that? Mystical comas. You know, if you can stand the horror of a higher power hijacking your mind and body so that it can give birth to itself, I really recommend 'em.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I would rather sleep in longer than catch up the internet. I know, it's crazy.

Sleeping in is one of the reasons why I no longer have Big Deathrock Hair. Backcombing and application of AquaNet takes longer than you might think.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I just got my hair chopped on Tuesday. It'd been four months since my last cut, and my "bangs" had reached my bottom lip. My next-cubicle neighbor kept on giving me doubletakes all day Wednesday.

I had my ultrasound and upper endoscopy today. The first was fine, but the second had the problem of them not giving me the "twilight sleep" knockout meds to fully relax me, due to my apnea. All they did was spray the back of my throat with some heavy duty novacaine and then gave me 1 mg of Verso to relax me, but I didn't feel any different, so that was a waste. I did not like the feel of that thing when it went down my throat and then again when it came back up. Ugh. The doctor did do the whole procedure very quickly, even with taking a few biopsies of some small ulcers I apparently have (just so she could see what's causing them). At least that's over with.

First thing tomorrow, I'm calling the bariatric surgeon liaison and seeing if I can finally get this thing scheduled! Keeping my fingers crossed we can get it done Thanksgiving week.

Wishing you scheduling luck!

This time tomorrow night, I will have stripped the last spindle. Then I have to learn new skills.

I will have stripped the last spindle

And spindle stripper is not a euphemism for pole dancer, no matter how it sounds.

Just saw the weather forecast. Snow possible on Monday.

For once, though, I think I'm ready to cope.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

*I* am not ready to cope. My vicarious winter anxiety is getting started.

Vancouver! Don't snow!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Going back a while to what Scrappy said (natch) shaving your face every day is far more onerous than anything I have to do. Or so it seems from this angle.

I have a solid hour or more of couch/laptop time before work every day. (Which is why I'm still late for work despite getting up at 6:15.)

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Vancouver! Don't snow!

When is your trip? It's right on the water, it's not going to snow any time soon there.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

8 on 12 Helvetica?!? Yeah, if you want to go blind from squinting!

Seriously, that is pretty small.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So it's the heating season here. It's currently 49 degrees outside and 80 degrees in my apartment. Time to turn the radiators down....
